Carpathia’s mission is to replace Trade Show marketing with a more intimate, less “salesy” environment that focuses on bonding buyers and suppliers with fun, adventure based excursions. Submarine, Catamaran, and Shark Excursions are Replacing Business Trade Shows
CHICAGO HERALD/ CHICAGO IL. / AUGUST 29TH 2019 — With the dominance of impersonal digital marketing, and increasing difficulty in reaching true decision makers, business executives have only had industry Trade Shows and an occasional golf game to turn to in efforts to build personal business relationships. That's all changing.
Carpathia™ is now sending buyers and suppliers to exotic Caribbean islands, and cementing relationships with adventure excursions.
The company first launched a 3-day event in Hospitality. Top design executives buying for brands such as Marriott, IHG, Hilton, Hyatt, Four Seasons, along with top industry design suppliers like Moen, Armstrong Flooring, Cambria, etc… landed on Grand Cayman Island. Their first team experience was working to solve a (fictitious) island murder. One-on-one, matched, speed-dating type meetings followed. Teams then climbed aboard giant racing catamarans finding themselves literally holding and swimming with wild giant stingrays while others bonded on dry land during an elaborate "tasting" at an island rum distillery. Another group bonded gourmet style at a local winery. As night fell, the group dined by a Luau bonfire 10 barefoot steps from the Caribbean water's edge.
Carpathia™ is announcing the chartering of a submarine this fall that will take brave buyers and suppliers down 100ft, parallel to the island reef. Shark cage feeding will also be offered.
This new approach is gaining the attention of industry experts due to the resulting major business deals.
Ellen Fisher, Dean of the NY School of Interior Design®, commented, "The Carpathia Hospitality Summit was a unique, immersive networking experience."
The VP of Design at Marriott International® said, "We built a lot of great bonded connections at this event."
Rick McCormack of Los Angeles based Studio McCormack™ added, "I can easily say this was the best networking event I've attended in my lengthy career."
"It's simple really, bonding people through common, shared, experience makes for more trusted and longer lasting business partnerships," said Carpathia™ Founder and CEO, Buck Peavey. Owning several supplier companies over the years, Peavey grew tired of spending millions on direct marketing and Trade Shows that delivered subpar results. "Deeper business relationships deliver stronger sales ROI." Peavey also added that this is clearly the future of business networking. "Both Millennials and Gen Z'ers favor life experiences even over compensation, especially given the impersonal nature of the digital marketing world of today. The business world is coming full circle and returning to the days of relationship sales."
